The short version
TapeDesk runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad. It does not collect, store, send, sell or share personal information or usage data. There are no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no accounts. Your recordings are never seen by anyone but you.
What is collected
Nothing. The App Store privacy label for TapeDesk is "Data Not Collected".
Recordings and tapes
Everything you record and every tape you make is stored on your device, and in your own iCloud or device backups if you have them turned on. That part is between you and Apple. TapeDesk never sends your audio anywhere.
Microphone
TapeDesk asks for the microphone to record audio onto its tracks. The audio is written to files on your device and is never uploaded.
Local network and Bluetooth
TapeDesk connects to no server. The local network is used for Ableton Link, to share tempo with other music apps nearby, and for network MIDI. Bluetooth is used to pair a MIDI controller. All of it stays between your devices and never reaches the internet or the developer.
Children
TapeDesk collects no data from anyone, so it collects none from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
